Google apologizes after new Gemini AI refuses to show pictures, achievements of White people

What: The latest version of Google's Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) will frequently produce images of Black, Native American and Asian people when prompted – but refuses to do the same for White people.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Gemini Experiences Senior Director of Product Management Jack Krawczyk addressed the responses from the AI that had led social media users to voice concern.

Study unveils a new AI model that was more than 90% successful at determining whether scans of brain activity came from a woman or a man.

Sex is an important biological factor that influences human behavior, impacting brain function and the manifestation of psychiatric and neurological disorders. However, previous research on how brain organization differs between males and females has been inconclusive. Leveraging recent advances in artificial intelligence and large multicohort fMRI (functional MRI) datasets, we identify highly replicable, generalizable, and behaviorally relevant sex differences in human functional brain organization localized to the default mode network, striatum, and limbic network.

Nvidia posts revenue up 265% on booming AI business

• Nvidia reported earnings after the bell that beat Wall Street expectations for earnings and sales, and said revenue during the current quarter would be better than expected.

• Nvidia has been the primary beneficiary of the recent technology industry obsession with large artificial intelligence models, which are developed on the company’s pricey graphics processors for servers.

• Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang addressed investor fears that the company may not be able to keep up this growth or level of sales for the whole year on a call with analysts.

US Department of Defense signed a contract with AI company Scale - Scale AI to set the Pentagon’s path for testing and evaluating large language models 

• 🌐 The Pentagon's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) has selected Scale AI to develop a test-and-evaluation framework for generative AI within the Defense Department.

• 📆 The one-year contract aims to provide the CDAO with a framework for deploying AI safely, measuring model performance, offering real-time feedback for warfighters, and creating specialized public sector evaluation sets.
